From the Red Hills of Lake County, dark fruit dominates the core of this wine: black cherry, dried cranberry and black plum stain the palate. Rustic with notes of leather and crushed tobacco leaves, the mouthfeel is sturdy, yet with a soft edge. Aging in 60% new French oak and 40% neutral American oak for nearly 36 months integrated the wine, creating a plush finish with lovely tannins and touches of smokey s’mores.
